This is a rollicking nonstop adventure and nonstop is no exaggeration. Dec 19, Alex Albrinck rated it it was amazing. Junco’s tough, she takes a lickin’ and keeps on tickin’.

FYI, you can get books 1, 2, 3 in an omnibus. Even if you don’t read a lot of science fiction, Jusr think you could get into it. And let me tell you, I was not disappointed! As for the plot of this novel, it was epic. Plus, she’s the shoot first then shoot jjust if still alive kind of gal.

Nov 15, Erika rated jusf it was amazing Shelves: I do know that there are a lot of characters and elements that, even I didn’t love this as much as I expected to and the main reason, I think, was that I spent too much time confused. Like I said, the world building and mythology incorporated in the story are amazing. Why do people live in a “restricted zone”? However, there’s something there that has me eager to read on and hopefully I’ll start to figure elements out better.

If it had been ordered better the story could have shown better. This one will be with me jumco a very long time. Once again, I found myself wondering if I and Junco should trust him and his knowledge of the events currently hounding Junco.

We didn’t know whether or not her best friend was good or bad until later on in the novel. Dec 01, Sabrina Riley rated it it was amazing.

Why do U adore a dirty mouth?

But it’s quite a different world and I things aren’t really explained, so much as meant to be caught on to as you read. Junco Coot is a soldier. The world building felt so organic and real.

Return to Book Page. So many characters were so layered, and jusst was so awesome how well the author pulled it off. Why such a random, awkward start? Very surprised there isn’t more reviews on this book, but i have a fe Wow. Moju especially has no personality.

Since the idea of secret assassin turned mystery Avian girl in the future juxt, is so cool. The foul-mouthing is in good sync with who Junco is as a person so it almost becomes a trademark and source of humor.

ii After graduation she got a job with the state of Colorado as their one and only hog farm inspector and spent her days wandering the Eastern Plains shooting the shit with farmers. I love this author so freaking much, adding them to my favorites list!!!! Despite all that, I did enjoy the book.

There’s just one problem. I highly recommend you check out Clutch if you enjoy original world building and a strong, smart-mouthed heroine with a lot of baggage and attitude enough to take on the worlds.

Also, in this book there were flashbacks, and it was pretty hard to watch Junco deal with them, even before we knew whether they were real or not.

He’s so tough, but so kind at the same time. Not Available on Audible. What’s in there juncp not supposed to be interacting with?

Here—in my opinion—is where the story picks up and captures my interest. There are a lot of intriguing questions in this story and I loved it! But he needs Junco to cooperate just a little bit longer or it all falls apart. Even though I loved everything about this novel, the main characters were what made it.

Clutch (I Am Just Junco, #1) by J.A. Huss

I reviewed this novel for Innovative Online Book Tours, which provided me with a copy to jnco. Dec 21, LeeAnna rated it really liked it Shelves: What I love about Junco Coot: I got a kick out of their interaction and how they treat each other with a kind of wary fascination at first.

Also, Aren and Junco have history but I didn’t feel the chemistry between the two of them in the same manner. Plus, I think it undermined his gravitas. Looking forward to reading more books by J.
