Patricia finished her first novel in late I was not much into fantasy, but this book did rekindle my infatuation toward dragons because they look so cool and made me want to read more. I won’t go in to detail, but she is something different for sure. She is a librarian at heart, a researcher who relies on her skills in research and her thirst for knowledge rather than outright brilliance. Her older sister are all lovely and ladylike, each more beautiful than the last. But it still refers to Cimorene as “she”. Cimorene likes her position and becomes friends with Kazul, but finds she must constantly deal with knights and princes who want to rescue her. The novel chronicles the adventures of the princess Cimorene, dragone escapes her tediously ordinary family to become a dragon ‘s princess.

Well, she and I happened to have some little plastic toy dragons and wizards and we’d use them to act I found this book at the library and I was so excited because I read it a couple of times when I was younger, in 4th or 5th grade I think.

The plot was straight forward but brilliant and I found the whole thing rather amusing. YA fantasy novel, girl runs away and ends up living with a dragon. The plot has some interesting twists, but there is never a sense of real peril.

I’m not saying that bothered me, far from it actually, yet I did wish the writing could have been a bit more polished. As the name suggests, it has a lot to do with dragons. I am afraid I will not give you even a hint of the “trubble” because that is the main focus of the story. And however resourceful Cimorene is, she knows when to call for help when she needs it.

Paperbackpages. This book grew with me through my childhood, and it remains with me as an adult. In fact, I think this book is a great introduction to a traditional fantasy world where dragons and princesses exist even for daeling who don’t normally pick up books like this.
